S Railway To Flag Off 2 New Freight Schemes In Dec

 
Southern Railway is going full steam ahead with its marketing efforts and is offering several sops to its freight customers, after being hit badly by the reduction in petroleum traffic and the realignment of railway zones.

Chennai, Nov 5: Southern Railway is going full steam ahead with its marketing efforts and is offering several sops to its freight customers, after being hit badly by the reduction in petroleum traffic and the realignment of railway zones.

Talking to FE, Mr GVL Satya Kumar, Deputy Chief Commercial Manager (Marketing), Southern Railway said: “Through this new scheme, we will offer transport services to our customers from their warehouses to the railway station, and on reaching the destination, the goods will be transported to the warehouse in the new place.”
