| Mumbai, October 4: A special court today rejected the bail plea of bar girl Tarannum Khan and that of two alleged bookies who were held on charges of indulging in cricket betting.
Special Judge D B Pujari rejected the bail pleas of Tarannum, the bookies Pradip Parmar and Milind Dhiraj Nandu on the ground that investigations were still on and their release on bail would hamper the probe.
The three, arrested on September 16 for their alleged involvement in a cricket betting racket, were remanded to judicial custody till October 10.
They were booked under Gambling Act, Indian Telegraph Act and Information Technology Act, apart from certain sections of IPC. |
