Kolkata: Amidst reports that he is being wooed by political parties to fight coming Lok Sabha poll, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly said on Tuesday that he was not good enough for politics.

"It is not true. I am not good enough for politics," Ganguly told reporters in Kolkata when asked about a report of the possibility of his joining politics.

Asked about reports that he planned to join Samajwadi party, Ganguly quipped "I have my own state."

Ganguly was talking to reporters after playing the Bengal-Assam East Zone Ranji Trophy one-day match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Why on earth Sourav will join Samajwadi Party who has no base in Bengal? I'd have believed if the story said he's joining Left Front. Obviously, this story is cooked up by some Bhaiiya guy sitting in Delhi who knows nothing except SP, BSP or BJP.
