Dhoni's security to be reviewed: Jharkhand CM

Ranchi/New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren has said that the state government would consider enhancing the security level of Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Dhoni is reportedly unimpressed with the security he has been given. After receiving death threats from Maoists, the Jharkhand Government had provided him additional security cover.

"When we will receive a report for enhancing Dhoni's security, then we will provide him with more security," said Soren.

Earlier, Dhoni had sent an application for a gun license, which has been forwarded, to the Jharkhand home department.

Jay Kumar Singh, a sports coach, is of the view that the fame earned by Jharkhand is all because of Dhoni. The coach said that any incident affecting Dhoni would be a matter of concern for the entire state.

"Dhoni can be reckoned as a world class celebrity at this point of time. The lawmakers in the Jharkhand Government are being given high security cover, but Dhoni does not have his security cover at that apex level. Security standards of Dhoni need to be improved. To avoid any mishap, Dhoni should be given ''Z'' grade security or else Jharkhand would get a bad image," said Jay Kumar.

Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan and Yousuf Pathan have expressed their anxiety on the terror attacks in Mumbai last week,

Recalling the horror of 26/11 that hit Mumbai, Irfan said that it was a shameful act and the frustration witnessing such acts has just grown bigger and bigger.

Asked if he had demanded extra safety cover, he said it was now required by every Indian citizen. "Looking at the situation in the country, I feel not only cricketers, but everyone needs security. I am sure the government is doing something about it. I feel it should be increased in the entire country," said Irfan.

So all NSGs to be given to guard these pampered VVIPs, and we ordinary citizens to be guarded by the lefitover policemen with lathis against the AK-47s weilding terrorists? Is that the we exist for the VVIPs or they exist for us?

Security, not personal but every one

How unselfish of Irfan Pathan to say 'every one required security'. He could have said my brother and I require Z category security. However, he said every citizen needs security!
