Ranchi, February 7:: Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Wednesday criticised BCCI president Sharad Pawar for selling the right of teams for the Indian Premier League to industrialist Mukesh Ambani and bollywood star Shahrukh Khan.

"(Union) Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawarji is the president of the BCCI and seems more interested in sports. The BCCI sold off rights to Mukesh Ambani and Shahrukh Khan ...and did not bother about the suicides by farmers, even in his home state Maharashtra," Singh told a public rally here.

Taking a dig at Pawar and Union Sports Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar, Singh said, "As Manishankarji is not interested in sports and Pawar is not interested in agriculture, they should swap portfolios."
