Too may brains working over my form: Sachin

Agencies

Hobart, February 26:: Sachin Tendulkar has not been in the best of touch in the ongoing tri-series, but the master batsman said he was not concerned about ‘overreaction from too many brains’ about his form.

Tendulkar, who has scored 191 runs from eight innings so far, said he was hitting the ball well and his confidence level has not gone down.

"I scored in the 30s twice against Sri Lanka and 40-odd against Australia. I failed only in the last three innings. It is a case of too may brains working over my form," he said after hitting a sizzling 54-ball 63 in India's seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

"I am all right and hitting the ball well. I am confident and the team is confident. The normal tendency is people get carried away because of more expectations. People should not react more than what is necessary," he added.

Tuesday's win ensures that India face Australia in the best of three finals starting in Sydney on March 2 and Tendulkar emphasised the need for the top order to fire if they have to turn the tables against the world champions.

The top order has been the Achilles' heel for India, largely annulling the fine show by the young bowlers so far in the series.

"We have to ensure that we do not lose early wickets against Australia. Only then we have a chance to beat them. We have to plan our strategies for the finals. Brett Lee has been bowling well, I think we have to work out how to tackle him."

Match losers and big mouths!
by Joy on 2008-02-28 08:26:31.444368+05:30
Every team has one or two match winners. Also some teams have match losers whose main contribution is the lack of performance leading to the team's defeat. Sachin, Sreesanth, and of late Yuvi belong to the latter category. Look at the matches they played and the results! Sree has a mouth bigger than his talent and performance! Yuvi and Sachin have talent but of late no performance. It is better that they let their bat talk. We are not interested in their blabberings!

The greediest guy in World Cricket

Sachin always says he plays for the country. What about other players? Are they playing for the opposition? He simply plays for the money. If not, with the money he has already made, he could appear for India at no fee (may be he could just accept the airfare, hotel and expenses). Let him do that. Then I would believe him. Otherwise he is a greedy, overpaid, under-performing, big mouth, destroying the career of some very talented young Indians!

Sachin's Form

Sachin still says he is not worried about his form. I think it is high time for him to be in the sixteen for ODI and his participation in the tours should be limited to carry drinks to the youngsters and give them pep talk.He should be graceful to hang his shoes and forget his insistance that he would play next World Cup. He is a part of history.Everything good also comes to end. My advise to him is l"give place to youngsters instead of using your past glory to kill the youngtsers"Best wishes

Sachin is happy with his low scores and a 50 in 20 matches but he don't care if we are loosing big matches when the opposition scores 300 plus.Mr sachin you can't win the matches with your stupid 2 runs while chasing 300 plus even though you just play for records you never was a match winner.Atleast now try to play for country to win the match. You keep on doing same mistakes even after getting out on LBW for several times. If you are not playing for country thrn get out of the team why you are putting millions of cricket fans in tense by getting out in first over.He should shame by your self instead of defending your self.WHy don't you leave the team before you are kicked out of the team so that you can make crores of rupees full time on commercial. Oh I am sorry you won't get commercial if you are out of the team so now I can understand why you are in team.

Sachin's Form

Sachin seems to be OK with a 20 odd average in the ODI series. You score a 63 after seven failures and defend your place in the side. what wrong has Dravid, Laxman and Sourav done? Sachin should exit gracefully, unless he wants to be uncerimoniously dropped, which I dont think is far away. Unless ofcourse Pawar interferes or Vengsarkar favours!!! Cricket lovers across the world salute you Sachin..but you must know when to get out...that is from the game!!!
