Colombo, August 6: : Entrusted to fill in chief coach Gary Kirsten's shoes in his absence, India's conditioning coach Paddy Upton says he is not unduly worried, as he would ask players to concentrate on basics for the must-win third cricket Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

Upton said the team had the resilience to put up good performance in the absence of Kirsten, who had to leave for South Africa to be with his critically ill mother.

"Every body knows his responsibilities and we also have a lot of players or support staff to assist the team," Upton said.

The bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad and the fielding coach Robin Singh were assisting the players during their rigorous workout on Wednesday.

"We have a lot of people who will be useful to the team," Upton added.

On whether Dinesh Kaarthick would be included in the team in the wake of his poor performance in the series so far, Upton said, "We have not taken any decision".

According to sources, Dinesh Kaarthick is under pressure after indifferent performances though it remains to be seen whether Parthiv Patel will get a look in.

But Anil Kumble, after winning the second Test, had maintained that one could not pin point the performance of one individual.

"You cannot keep looking at one individual to say he can do better. Everyone can do better... There is definitely some improvements that we all need to look at as a team and that will be the focus," Kumble had said.

Kumble not getting the throws at the right height from his players. His is getting many of the throws below his waist height. And as such he should insist on receiving the throws at shoulder height. When the throws are received at or below waist height, the eyes have dropped and it is a sign of a Captain that has lost it in his mind. When the throws are at shoulder height, the eyes are raised and is a sign of a Captain that is confident of leading his team to victory. It would be interesting to see our own Kapil Dev when he was the Captain and how he collected majority of the throws. Even Imran Khan for that matter.Hope this message reaches Kumble and team India on time.
