Mohali, October 18:: Even after scoring a century in the ongoing second cricket Test against Australia, Sourav Ganguly made it clear that he would stick to his decision to retire from the game after the four-match series.

"No, this will be my last series," Ganguly said when asked if there is any thought of reconsidering his shock announcement the Australia Test series would be his last.

Ganguly, who made 102 on Saturday to put India in a strong position, admitted that the century has fulfilled his desire to bow out of the game with a bang.

"This is my last series. I wanted to do well and I gave everything. I am happy that I scored a century today," he said when asked how delighted he was with his performance.

Asked about the pressure on him to come up with a memorable performance before quitting, Ganguly said, "The pressure is there but not that much. Now I will not have to depend on anybody for my selection."

He became nostalgic when asked about the end of the 'era of Fab Four'.

"Yes, it will be the end of an era. Four of us have batted together for the last 13 years. VVS Laxman is just two short of playing 100 Tests, three of us have crossed that. I don't think there was any era in which four players in a team have played 100 Tests matches each.”

"We have done well home and away. In the last few years, India's record of success away from home has seen much improvement than the past. I hope the newcomers will also do well for the country."

Dada has hitting a sixer in the face of the previous selection committee by scoring a ton. Well done Dada. However this is the right time to retire from test cricket with good fame and all cricket fans are behind him. After all one could retire one day. Your decision to retire after this series is wise. Wish you all suceess to continue to score ton after ton. Please say done.
