'Ishant can overtake Lee as the best bowler'

Agencies

Posted online: Monday , February 11, 2008 at 1204 hrs IST

Melbourne, February 11:: Impressed by Ishant Sharma's exploits, former Australian pacer Damien Fleming said the beanpole Indian has it in him to become the best bowler around.

Fleming saw Ishant repeatedly running through the Australian top order both in the Test and one day tri-series with home team captain Ricky Ponting running the risk of becoming his bunny.

Effusive in his praise for the Delhi teen, Fleming said the lanky pacer could well become the premier bowler of his era, overtaking the likes of Australian spearhead Brett Lee and South African pacer Dale Steyn.

"He's going to be a big factor for India's bowling stocks for years to come," Fleming was quoted as saying by Herald Sun.

A bad experience in Apollo clinic, Hyderabad
by P V Bhaskara Ramarao on 2008-02-12 17:12:05.473399+05:30
Apollo clinic, Hitech City, Hyderabad (Near Kothaguda Chowrastha): Based on Dr.Nikhita's prescription we went to injection room for getting IV (with Complamina injection). Mr Siva Ram who was acting as receptionist cum clinical attendant, got ready for giving IV. I have asked him whether he is certified for doing this. He said, he has certificate from Apollo. But because of his inexperience, he took a wrong syringe and pricked in to the muscle instead of getting the vein. When the muscle started swelling, my wife cried with pain and I asked him to stop it immediately and called the doctor. Doctor Nikhita came to the room and scolded him for taking up this task, when he was not really experienced. Siva Ram told her that, sister is not there and hence he had taken up this.It was also observed several times that the bed sheet in the room was with blood stains. I know Apollo has been a reputed institute and these kind of instances shouldn’t spoil the good faith that people are having.

Against Sri-lanka, Lee did 7 overs
by Jake on 2008-02-12 05:27:15.180177+05:30
Certainly, against Ozzie were crumbling, so Lee only did 7 overs. Thus he did not have to over-work. I suppose Indian bowling will not over strain one bowlers and make sure he is not ejected by BCCI and does well for India for long term.

Fools will tell him that only way to be strong is meat. Science has advanced a lot, the nutrition has advanced so much that he can have Protein shake to stay trim and keep off meat if he don't like them. Stay of unhealthy food. Proper nutritionist can help him out.

I don't think Ishant is strong enough for International Cricket yet. He needs to put on atleast 20 pounds to stay fit. I hear he is a vegetarian. GOD BLESS

Yep Ishant will be a great bowler provided he does not swell up in his brain and body. However best wishes for this young land in India. I do not sea any reason why he should migrate to other countries. Did Kapil, Sunil or Sachin migrate?
