Harbhajan's hearing could be delayed

Canberra, January 10:: The International Cricket Council has indicated that the hearing into the appeal against the three-Test ban on Harbhajan Singh could be delayed even though the rules say it should be held within seven days of appointment of a Commissioner.

An ICC spokesman said it was "possible" Harbhajan's hearing would not be held until after the third Test, beginning on January 16 at Perth.

The spokesman did not elaborate whether it could be delayed until after the Adelaide Test--a situation that would allow the heat of the Harbhajan issue to die down.

"It should be held within seven days of a Commissioner being appointed but that can be extended depending on circumstances," he said.

New Zealand High Court judge John Hansen was on Wednesday appointed as Commissioner for the hearing.

Another Cheat

Here we go again. Postpone the hearing till the end of the series and then screw India. This is obvious move by ICC. Well, it is one thing ICC cheats and it is totally other that we aloow them to do it. We are not really known for our strength. We buckle faster under tough situations. Now watch the events unfolding. (1) The series moves on (2) Harbhajan is banned(3) India shouts and screams foul.(4) Things are back to normal. Let me know if someone thinks otherwise. I have lost hope on our spineless approach. Think of what would America do if they were mistreated. With all the money in Cricket we still bow to ICC's GORA SAHEBs. Shame on you BCCI if you are fooled this time. Think aoub the consequences. You return home cutting the series short, you will get hero's welcome as if you have won the war. You go home being tricked by ICC, be prepared for Juta treatment. Don't be a coward. One side note. Bucknor is fired because he was raising wrong finger to Australians when they appealed. He was suppose to raise middle finger.

Jaymin, I agree with you. By the time the appeal comes to hearing, third and fourth tests will be concluded. Then the appeal will be heard by the ICCC and Bhajji will be banned for at least one or two tests. ICC is foolng the BCCI. The Sydney test should have been declared null and void. Symonds is the epitome of all the trouble and he should be charged for making false accusations. Powar should sacked.
